Our owner is a first responder, and that experience shapes the way every search is approached. First responders are trained to stay calm in stressful situations, gather information quickly, evaluate the environment, and act with purpose. Those same principles are at the heart of our animal recovery work.

Using Technology to Help Bring Pets Home
Central Pennsylvania is beautiful, but its landscape can make finding a missing animal incredibly difficult.
A lost dog may disappear into a cornfield, thick brush, or hundreds of acres of woodland. A frightened cat may hide quietly beneath vegetation or near an outbuilding. An injured animal may settle into a location where it cannot easily be seen from the road or reached by traditional search teams.
Our drones are equipped with infrared thermal imaging technology that can detect heat signatures from above. This gives us the ability to scan fields, wooded areas, rural properties, trails, and other difficult terrain while looking for possible signs of a missing animal.
Thermal imaging can be particularly valuable when visibility is limited and an animal blends into its surroundings. Rather than relying solely on what the human eye can see, we can search from an aerial perspective and investigate potential heat signatures that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Technology does not guarantee that every animal can be located, but it can dramatically improve the way a search area is evaluated and help owners focus their efforts where they may have the best chance of success.
Every Search Starts With Listening
No two missing-animal situations are the same.
Before beginning a search, we want to understand what happened. Where was your pet last seen? How long have they been missing? Are they friendly or skittish? Do they normally travel far from home? Were there any recent sightings? Are there nearby fields, woods, streams, roads, farms, or trails?
These details matter.
A scared animal may behave very differently from the pet you know at home. Even normally friendly dogs can become frightened and avoid people when they are lost. Some animals remain close to the location where they disappeared while others may travel significant distances.
By gathering information and looking carefully at the surrounding environment, we can develop a more focused search strategy.
Our goal is never to simply put a drone in the air and fly around aimlessly. We want every search to have a purpose.
A Calm Approach During a Stressful Time
One of the most important parts of animal recovery is knowing when not to chase.
When frightened animals are approached too aggressively, they may run farther away or move into dangerous areas. Whenever possible, our drone allows us to observe from a distance, identify a possible animal, and help determine the best next step without immediately putting additional pressure on it.
Sometimes the most helpful thing we can provide is a location. Other times, we may help narrow a search area or identify places that deserve closer investigation from the ground.
Throughout the process, our focus remains the same: help the owner make informed decisions while keeping the animal’s safety in mind.
